PENGARUH RETURN ON ASSET, RETURN ON EQUITY DAN NET PROFIT MARGIN TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of Return On Assets, Return On Equity, and Net Profit Margin on Stock Prices in manufacturing companies. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a longitudinal type. The population in this study was all the financial reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a research sample of 5 companies selected using random sampling technique. Data was collected using the documentation study technique of financial reports from the period 2020 to 2022 per quarter. Thus, the type of data in this study was panel data containing a cross section of 5 companies and a time series of 3 years per quarter. Data was analyzed using panel data regression analysis method with EViews software to determine the influence between variables partially using t-test and simultaneously using f-test.

The hypothesis results were conducted using t-test and f-test which showed that: First, the Return On Assets variable did not have a significant effect on stock prices. Second, the Return On Equity variable did not have a significant effect on stock prices. Third, the Net Profit Margin variable had a positive and significant effect on stock prices. Fourth, the Return On Assets, Return On Equity, and Net Profit Margin variables had a positive and significant simultaneous effect on stock prices.
